Where is my login info after registration?
Check your email spam/junk email folder! Oftentimes email filters are used to block spam emails and occasionally your account verification email may go to the spam filter. Once you find our email, click the link to verify your account and complete your registration.
How do I upload a tool?
Once you have created an account, navigate to the "TOOLBOX" section and icon of the app. Once there, click the "ORANGE" plus icon to "ADD TOOL". You will input the tool information and click "CREATE TOOL."
How much should I charge to rent my tools?
Tool rental pricing can be challenging a good benchmark price is around 10% of the replacement cost.
How do Tool Owner/Renters communicate to set up tool and pickup location?
The Lindrs app has a chat feature located throughout the app. You can access the chat feature on every tool rental listing by clicking the "CONTACT OWNER" button. Once contacted, all chat conversations will be accessible from the bottom app menu in the "CHATS" section. After finding a tool that you would like to rent, you can select the chat feature to communicate with the tool owner about where to pickup the tool.
How do I unlist a tool?
Navigate to your listed tool and click "EDIT". Scroll to the bottom of the screen and click the toggle button under "PUBLICLY LISTED" to turn of public view. You can turn it back on at any point.
How do I pay for my tool rental?
Input your payment method at the checkout screen or input payment card information in the "PAYMENT METHODS" section under "ME" in bottom menu.
How do I get paid for my tool rental?
To enable payouts, navigate to the "ME" section in the bottom menu and click "BANK ACCOUNTS." You can add your bank account information for Lindrs payouts.
What tax information do I need to complete?
Stripe, our credit card payment processor, also helps us disburse funds to you. By law, any organization that sends funds to individuals, businesses, etc., is required by banking and federal regulation to collect and verify information about users, including SSN to ensure you are who you say you are. The IRS requires Stripe to collect your full social security number if you receive $600 or more in a calendar year. Your privacy is our priority and this information is stored in Stripe's robust fraud protection platform, with bank-level security measures. Lindrs does not access or store any of this information.
If you make more than $600 in a calendar year, tax information can be reported under the "ME" section in the bottom menu and clicking "TAX INFORMATION".
What if my tool is damaged or not returned?
You will receive the value of the replacement cost that you placed on the tool. The renter agreed to the replacement cost when they rented the tool.
What if the tool I rent doesn't work or is in poor condition?
Before heading home to work on your project you should inspect the tool for wear and damage. Make sure the tool works properly with the tool owner. If the tool does look like it is in poor condition, please cancel the tool rental and contact customer service where we can address the issue with the tool owner.
My project will take awhile. How long can I rent the tool(s) I need?
You can start with the initial tool rental. If the tool is needed longer, go into the app rental dates and extend to the date needed.
